How lending works

From application to repayment

  1. STEP 1

    Application

A member submits an application indicating the amount, purpose and repayment period.

  2. STEP 2

    Eligibility review

The application is reviewed against the member's records and the applicable lending rules.

  3. STEP 3

    Verification / security checks

Any required guarantor, security or supporting document requirements are checked.

  4. STEP 4

    Approval

The application is approved, deferred or declined in line with the approved approval process.

  5. STEP 5

    Disbursement

Approved amounts are disbursed and the repayment schedule is recorded.

  6. STEP 6

    Repayment

Repayments are receipted and recorded against the loan account.

Each stage is carried out by authorised officers according to their assigned role and permissions.
