Upatanisho collects personal information from members and applicants in order to register membership, keep accurate financial records, assess loan applications and communicate official notices.
The information collected may include your name, national identification details, photograph, contact details, address, next of kin or beneficiary details, employment or business information and records of your contributions, loans and payments.
Information is used for membership administration, financial record keeping, statutory and regulatory obligations, and communication with you. It may be shared with service providers who support these activities, and with authorities or other parties where this is lawfully required or otherwise appropriate in the administration of the organisation.
Records are retained for as long as your membership is active and thereafter in accordance with the law and the organisation's approved records retention policy.
You may ask the office to see the information held about you and to correct anything inaccurate. Where a change affects identity or financial records, the correction is made through the approved review process rather than directly.
